Your vacation on a sailboat
made to measure
We offer tailor-made sailing vacations. You can customize your trip endlessly: stages, ports, activities…
Once we have received your travel request, we will discuss with you to give you a first idea of the route and the stops. While taking into account your desires, we will adapt our proposal as we go along. We will be able to reveal its good plans to you and help you get off the beaten track.
We are passionate and we will do our best to satisfy you and offer you a tailor-made sailing vacation.
Priority to safety and weather!
Whatever the itinerary you choose, it may not be exactly as you imagined because the weather can change everything. Our skippers will always do their best to meet your expectations. They will anticipate gales and weather changes. They will not hesitate to suggest a change of destination to get a better weather if needed. The only certainties are when you will leave and when you will return – everything else will be pleasantly fluid. The question that the group needs to settle before the trip is “how many hours do we want to sail per day?” Only then can we offer you your custom sailing vacation.”
Where to go?
In addition to its ancestral culture, Greece, nestled in the south of Europe, offers an endless choice of stopovers with its thousands of islands. Depending on your desires and the time you have, you can sail through its many basins, whose area extends from the Aegean Sea to the Ionian Sea.
The Saronic Gulf, the Ionian Islands and the Sporades are paradises for boat trips as the winds tend to be relatively light and the seas calm. On the other hand, heading to the Cyclades and the southern Aegean (Dodecanese and Crete) requires much more experience, as the summer winds (meltemi) in the region regularly reach strengths of 5 to 7 Beaufort (and often more).
When to leave and for how long?
In Greece, the long sailing season starts from April until the end of October. The weather is ideal during this period to enjoy a cruise in the sun.
How long to enjoy the Greek islands?
A week on board is already an excellent idea for people with a short stay in Greece. In this case, prefer the itineraries around Athens (Saronic and Sporades).
Two weeks of cruising will allow you to visit more islands. Shorter sailings and a more flexible itinerary, so more time to swim / explore the islands, etc.
One way
For stays of at least 15 days, the most efficient way to explore the Greek islands is to choose a one-way itinerary. By navigating from one base to another, you will be able to see much more. Also, a one-way downwind cruise gives you a longer range and is generally much more comfortable.
During the sailing season, the prevailing winds blow from the northwest or northeast in most areas: Corfu to Lefkas, Athens to Mykonos, Athens to Paros, Kos to Rhodes, etc. are some examples of one-way routes.
For those who prefer to avoid long sea journeys, there is always the possibility to travel from Athens. You will first travel by conventional methods (ferry, train, bus…) to your destination and then your journey will start from a marina in the islands.
Port or anchorage?
Both my captain! The ports are numerous and very accessible and the anchorages varied. However, be careful in the summer, there may be some problems of places in the ports. Don’t expect great marinas either. The infrastructure is basic, but that’s what makes Greece so charming!
Great and beautiful adventures in the Greek islands are waiting for you.
